Seahawks Push Sturgis

It was a beautiful early fall day.  A great day for a race over in Sandwich this afternoon.  The course was three one mile loops.  

Sturgis East was solid for both boys and girls, but we were competitive with their teams.  

Emerson, again, led the pack finishing first overall in the girl’s race.  Once again she had to run alone and push herself.  She dropped her pace to 7:15 from 7:40 last week in Plymouth.  It will be fun to see her continue to improve over the next month.  

The girls’ team showed more improvement with Lilly, Leah, Nora, and Noelle all improving their pace over last week, and Leah put forth her best race to date.  We just need a fifth runner to anchor things for the team.    

The boys are also showing improvement with Liam running a strong finish to take second overall. Gavin was in 4th in a strong performance.  Troy and Rowan continue to improve as well and rounded out the top four.  D’Andre had a fall which slowed him up, but there is a lot of potential if this group of five keeps working.  Silas ran his best effort of the season.
