CCA Finishes Up Regular Season

Dear runners & families,

It was a warm October afternoon for our final league home meet of the season.  

With the varsity teams looking to race their best next Wednesday at the League Meet this race was a good test.  

The Nantucket boys were a great team and their win today guaranteed them the C & I Lighthouse League Title.  In the process Liam ran his best time of the season, as did D’Andre.  They are in a good position to peak at League.  Gavin was back after a break but wasn’t far off his previous time.  Troy ran consistent to last week’s time, and I hope he can push himself a bit more to get closer to his best time of a couple weeks back.  Sean rounded out the team’s five finishers with another solid performance.

In the girls race, they had to push themselves without a team to compete against.  Emerson ran consistently with her time the past two weeks at CCA.  Lilly and Leah both pushed themselves to get under 23 minutes.  Noelle remained solid and Nora tested out her ankle to positive results.  It was good to see Halley back out there as well.

There will be practice on Wednesday.  

On Thursday CCA is hosting the Super 6 Middle School XC Meet and our runners in grades 5-8 will race, while the high school runners will have practice.  

Families should plan on the middle school race starting just after 4 pm on Thursday.  We expect about 50-60 total runners to compete on the 1.5 mile course. There will be a single co-ed race.  

No Practice on Friday with CCA Homecoming Activities and games.
